What you'll be doing

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Website Development to lead our e-commerce technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress, PHP, and Laravel, along with hands-on experience in managing development teams and delivering scalable, high-performance web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end development and maintenance of e-commerce websites
Architect, design, and implement scalable web applications using PHP & Laravel
Manage and optimize WordPress-based websites, including custom themes and plugins
Oversee website performance, security, and responsiveness
Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to deliver features on time
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide quick resolutions
Ensure SEO-friendly and high-performance website architecture
Manage deployments, version control, and CI/CD processes
Mentor and lead a team of developers, ensuring productivity and growth

What we're looking for

6–7 years of experience in web development, preferably in e-commerce platforms
Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and WordPress
Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce frameworks
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and payment gateways
Familiarity with version control tools like Git
Knowledge of website optimization, caching, and performance tuning
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven experience managing and leading a development team
Ability to plan, assign, and track tasks effectively
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies

What would be great to have

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of headless CMS or modern JS frameworks (React, Vue)
Understanding of security best practices in web applications
